Annual Flower Service
June 16, 2019 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sunday will be our last service in the Sanctuary before summer discussions start. They will continue through August. We will celebrate the beginning of summer, and Father?s Day, with the UU tradition of the Flower Communion.
The UU tradition of Flower Communion was started by a Czech Unitarian minister, Norbert Capek. He survived the Holocaust years and wanted to bring joy and celebration back into the church after the terrible years of World War II. Please bring a flower to make a summer bouquet, and to exchange with others at the end of the service. We will also share some poetry and music celebrating summer, and a chance to share some summer memories, and Father?s Day wishes and memories.
PLEASE BRING A FLOWER TO SHARE,FROM YOUR YARD OR A MEADOW, AND YOUR FAVORITE JUNE POEMS, THOUGHTS, AND MEMORIES.
