Some people think that the U.S. started as a Christian nation and has sadly drifted away from its religious roots, a process they are trying to reverse. Actually, some Founding Fathers were practicing Christians, some were Deists, and some were nominally Christian but were influenced by Deism. More than 200 years later, does this matter?
